Academy Schedule and Fees
The Academy is a school within a working art studio. Modeled on the 19th century French academies in the tradition of the old masters students receive individualized practical instruction advancing at their own pace while working to achieve the highest levels of draftsmanship and painting skills. This intensive and focused teaching methodology has a proven record of success with students ranging from the beginner to the more advanced. Students set their own hours and time commitment each month. Full time students attend 8 instructed classes per week. 4 classes is the suggested minimum however we do understand some students have limited time available and may sign up for less.
Academy Instructional Hours - 3 hour classes a.m./p.m.
Monday 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday 9.00 a.m. – 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Life Drawing and Painting
Wednesday 9.30 a.m. – 12:30, 1:30p.m. - 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00
Thursday 9.00a.m.– 12:00 and 1:00 - 4.00 p.m. Life Drawing and Painting
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Life Drawing 8 weeks Sept. 25 - Nov. 13 $300
Tuition is paid quarterly and is due at the commencement of each quarter. Dates are noted on the school calendar.
Instructional hours are divided into three-hour class segments, mornings, afternoons and evenings. Students, depending on their personal and professional schedules, may commit to an assortment of 3 hour class segments. Fall, winter and springs quarters are 12 weeks summer quarter is 8 weeks.
